Americans are no strangers to ridiculous lawsuits. Now it's Apple's turn to deal with one.

Chris Sevier is suing the computer manufacturer for creating a device that led to the downfall of his marriage. Seriously. He contends that an accidental typo he made while searching for something on the internet in turn led to behavior that caused irreperable damage to his marriage.

"In using safari, the Plaintiff accidentally misspelled 'facebook.com' which lead him to 'fuckbook.com' and a host of web sites that caused him to see pornographic images that appealed to his biological sensibilities as a male and lead to an unwanted addiction with adverse consequences," says a statement by Sevier.

Servier, 36, claims that after seeing 'fuckbook.com,' he became enamored with the naked women online. That in turn forced his attention to stray from his marriage and instead focus on online pornography, leading to divorce. He believes Apple should pay for allowing this to happen.

But it doesn't stop there. Oh no. Sevier, who is a lawyer, is using this as an opportunity to stand up for the little guys everywhere. He hopes that this lawsuit will bring down the monopoly that the internet has on pornographic material and put the power back in the hands of "mom and pop" porn shops across the nation.

"Unregulated internet porn is hurting brick and mortar or 'mom and pop' porn shops," he writes. "This is no different than how illegal downloading of musical content and movie content has caused the collapse of traditional record stores and video rental entities, such as block buster (sic)."

It is uncertain exactly how Sevier expects to take pornographic material off of the internet at Apple's expense. What's more, how that would affect mom and pop porn shops, assuming there are any, is also puzzling.

Perhaps there is a piece to this story that we're missing. Some bit of evidence that would allow us to get into the mind of a man who is so clearly outraged by the lack of a big business' sensitivity towards our culture's objectification of sex...

"The complaint was filed the same month Servier was charged with aggravated stalking for incessantly emailing country music star John Rich. According to The Tennessean, one of the emails included a picture of a scantily clad Sevier draped in an American flag and covered in a substance 'believed to be representing blood,'" according to the DailyMail.

Now it all makes sense.
