Titanfall 2, the sequel to the massively popular Titanfall multiplayer shooter game, is coming to Xbox One and PS4! This news was confirmed to the Wall Street Journal by a source who knows about the development of the game. Titanfall, the first game, was entirely created for Xbox platforms (Xbox 360 and Xbox One) and PC, making this update truly remarkable and good news for lots of fans.

Developed by Respawn Entertainment and Bluepoint Games, Titanfall 2 is said to be in a planning stage. The release date is still unknown as of this time and it is unlikely that it will be coming anytime soon.

GameSpot was informed by a source that Electronics Arts (EA), publisher of Titanfall, had agreed to make Titanfall 2 after making a deal with Respawn Entertainment. It was also reported that the new sequel would have a multiplatform title.

The deal to make Titanfall 2 with Respawn Entertainment was confirmed by Electronic Arts, although the sequel was likely to happen anyway due to the amazingly strong sales of the first game, which even won over segments of the FPS market.

Vince Zampella, co-founder of Respawn Entertainment, stated back in October 2013 that they intended to create a game for Sony's PS4. It is unlikely for gamers to see Titanfall 2 for Xbox One and PS4 during the E3 conference if it still allegedly in the planning stage. Meanwhile, we can expect a total of six titles from Electronic Arts during the E3 conference.

Andrew Wilson, EA's chief executive officer, said that new Titanfall experiences for players around the world are about to happen. This announcement was interpreted by gamers as meaning a new Titanfall sequel. Those who are interested in it can follow the E3 event via the live stream. Meanwhile, you can now get Titanfall for Xbox One for only $44.99 including shipping.
