'Star Wars Episode VII' Cast News and Rumors: 'Game of Thrones' Actor Miltos Yerolemou to Hav Role
Actor Miltos Yerolemou, who played Syrio Forel in the first season of "Game of Thrones," will now be taking on an undisclosed role in J.J. Abrams' upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII" film, BBC News reports.
MTV News reports that Yerolemou is the second "Game of Thrones" actor to appear in the upcoming "Star Wars" film. Gwendoline Christie, who plays Brienne on "Game of Thrones" will also be starring in "Star Wars: Episode VII."
Although Yerolemou's role in "Star Wars" has not yet been announced, BBC news confirms that Yerolemou will play a small part in the film.
In addition to appearing in film and television Yerolemou also has experience performing on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company, according to BBC news.
Yerolemou is also set to star in the BBC adaptation film of Hilary Mantel's novel, "Wolf Hall."
Yerolemou also has experience and expertise in sword fighting, BBC News reports. So "Star Wars" fans can probably look forward to see the "Game of Thrones" actor swapping out a sword for a lightsaber in the upcoming film, MTV suggests.
During an interview with Red Carpet News TV, Yerolemou talked about Bruce Lee being his inspiration in learning how to sword fight and how his sword fighting skills helped him with his character on "Game of Thrones."
"Some of the first films I ever watched as a kid was my dad taking me to see Bruce Lee movies ... they left a big impression on me. So in the breakdown for the casting [of "Game of Thrones"] I was asked whether I could sword fight and I had experience. I did a lot of Shakespeare for The Royal Shakespeare Company and in those plays there's always broad swords, or rapiers, or daggers ... so I'm used to using swords."
