Some parents got an unexpected holiday surprise when their child gleefully opened the Play-Doh Cake Mountain playset on Christmas morning: an icing applicator that looks like a penis.

The Play-Doh Cake Mountain playset allows kids to build and decorate a "cake." The phallic shape of the extruder tool used to apply "icing" upset some parents who complained on social media.

"@PlayDoh nice job including a dildo shaped implement in cake mountain. Happy holidays!" one parent tweeted.

Hasbro's website describes the Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain Playset "2-piece extruder" as a toy used by kids to decorate Play-Doh cakes. The playset is advertised for kids aged 3 and up with a retail price of $19.99.

USA Today reports Hasbro has agreed to replace the toy that some consumers believe resembles a male body part.

"We have heard some consumer feedback about the extruder tool in the Play-Doh Cake Mountain playset and are in the process of updating all future Play-Doh products with a different tool," Hasbro posted on its Play-Doh Facebook page. "Should any consumer want a replacement extruder for this item, they can contact Hasbro's Customer Service Department at 800-327-8264."

Some parents troubled by the phallic-shaped toy expressed their views on Hasbro's Play-Doh Facebook page as well.

"I bought the kit for my daughter... Honestly I cried laughing!! She is too young to even know what the tool resembles. Well done design team you guys are hilarious," Stefanie Edwards Griffin wrote.

"No child young enough to play with play doh is going to realize that this looks like anything but a toy. Come on parents if your child knows what part of the body this resembles you have bigger issues to worry about. Hmmmm," Lisa Marie Thomas added.

"I'm not getting a replacement. I think it's crazy that people have to turn everything into something sexual," Emilie Sara Haas posted.

Brian Shannon Anstett posted a photo of a Wal-Mart pet stocking complete with the phallic-shaped squeaky toy.

"I guess you all missed the Walmart pet stocking..." he wrote in the photo's caption.
