Texas comic cons are upping the ante with an impressive roster this year that includes Marvel's "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" star Jeremy Renner, aka Hawkeye, who will hit Comicpalooza in Houston.

The Academy Award-nominee will appear Saturday, May 23. Renner is among a fun list of guest stars on tap for Comicpalooza 2015, which runs from May 22-25 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

Others guest stars include George Takei, who's best known for his portrayal of Mr. Sulu in the acclaimed "Star Trek" television and film series as well as living legend; and Stan Lee, who is "essentially the father of contemporary comics" and is the award-winning co-creator of iconic characters such as Spider-Man, the Avengers, Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Daredevil and the X-Men.

In addition, other guest stars include Cory Michael Smith, who currently plays Edward Nygma (aka the Riddler) on "Gotham," WWE wrestling superstar Sting, who has held more than 20 championships over the course of his career, and Henry Winkler, who's known as Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli from the hit '70s TV series "Happy Days." Winkler has recently become famous to whole new generation for his work on shows such as "Arrested Development," "Royal Pains" and "Children's Hospital."

Renner is also joined by a stellar lineup of actors, including Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and with the additional support of Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, Stellan Skarsgård as Erik Selvig and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

"The team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision."

"The Avengers: Age of Ultron," opens May 1. Renner will follow that up with "Mission: Impossible 5," which opens on July 31.
