A new Triple-A game is set to arrive on consoles as 2K Games announced that their firm is currently working on an unnamed title, which would be launched in March 2016.

The announcement was made during the company's quarterly financial report meeting. According to the report, the unnamed title would join the roster of popular games such as NBA 2K, WWE 2K and Battleborn.

"Throughout the coming year, we will continue to execute our proven strategy of launching a select array of the highest-quality titles, led by annual released of NBA 2K and WWE 2K; Battleborn, a groundbreaking new intellectual property from Gearbox Software; and a soon-to-be-announced new triple-AAA title from 2K," wrote the management of Take-Two Interactive on the report.

While no title has been released, speculations on whether it would be presented in E3 next June have begun to circulate. When pressed for further details, company CEO Strauss Zelnick did not confirm nor deny an E3 launch to MCV.

"We leave these announcements to the labels," said Zelnick. However, the CEO also assured fans that details about the new title would soon be made, though no exact date had been given.

After the announcements, rumors on what the new triple A title could be have begun to do the rounds on the Internet. Gameranx speculated that a sequel to Red Dead Redemption or Borderlands could be the upcoming game.

IGN, on the other hand, thought that Mafia 3 could finally be in order. In 2014, a report on All Games Beta noted that Take-Two is already looking for voice, facial and motion capture actors that were rumored to be for the gangster game.

However, no confirmation was given by 2K regarding the said title or the casting call.

It seems that Take-Two Interactive, mother company of 2K Games and Rockstar, are banking on their firm's late releases in 2015 and early 2016 to increase their revenue. The company reported $1.7 billion earnings for the 2015 fiscal year, which is a major dip from last year's $2.4 billion earnings for the same period.

Other titles for release in both last and current generation gaming consoles later in 2015 are WWE 2K16, Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth - Rising Tide DLC for PC, and NBA 2K16. Battleborn will come out in 2016.
