'Jane The Virgin' Season 2 Episode 9 Spoilers: Jane and Rafael Bump During Christmas Holiday [Video]
There will be lots of holiday drama when "Jane the Virgin" returns for its midseason finale on Dec. 14.
A new trailer video for the upcoming episode, which is titled "Chapter Thirty," reveals that Jane and Rafael will bump heads as they approach baby Mateo's first Christmas. In the video, the two are seen arguing just as they are about to take a family photo at the Santa Claus station at a mall. That's when Santa steps in to quiet the contentious parents.
"Ho, ho, ho. Santa's got some pretty strict rules about mommies and daddies fighting at the North Pole," says the Santa impersonator.
In response, Jane snaps back, saying "Stay out of this, Santa!"
The synopsis for the midseason finale also teases that Jane will receive disheartening news about her academic scholarship. It turns out that her scholarship will not pay for all of her school expenses as she initially thought it would. As a result, she will worry about how she will cover the out-of-pocket costs for her graduate school classes while still providing for Mateo.
"Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) are still at odds with each other as they are about to celebrate Mateo's first Christmas. Jane discovers that the scholarship she thought she had been awarded isn't quite that and now needs to find a way to pay for grad school. Rogelio (Jaime Camil) has employed an intern and is having trouble trusting him. Petra (Yael Grobglas) is struggling with the latest dilemma her mother has gotten them into. Meanwhile, Michael (Brett Dier) is trying to find Luisa's mother who he now suspects is not dead and may be involved with Sin Rostro," reads the synopsis, according to Spoiler TV.
Season 2, Episode 9 of "Jane the Virgin" will premiere on Monday, Dec. 14 on The CW.
