PS4 vs. Xbox One Console Sales War [POLL] - Who Won Black Friday 2015?
It would seem that despite Microsoft's killer gaming lineup and bundle deals, the PS4 came out on top this Black Friday.
This concurs with what most of our readers voted in the poll we took the week prior to the huge shopping event. The results currently stand with the Xbox One with 41 percent (1056) of the votes, PS4 with 47 percent (1234), the Wii U with 2 percent (60), and 8 percent (206) opting not to buy either.

Sales numbers for this Black Friday haven't yet been reported in the U.S., but the U.K. reports an approximate 5,000 difference in console sales with the PS4 taking 139,000 and the Xbox One with 134,000. This victory comes in lieu of Sony's recent milestone of selling 30 million PS4 consoles, making it their fastest selling system yet.
"We are sincerely grateful that gamers across the globe have continued to choose PS4 as the best place to play since launch two years ago," Andrew House, the group chief executive at PlayStation stated. We are committed to bringing engaging games and entertainment services to users worldwide. Thanks to the support of our partners, PS4 continues to be the premier platform for game and interactive entertainment innovation."
Whatever the outcome came to be this Black Friday it was suspected to be close, as not only did Xbox One beat the PS4 in last year's Black Friday, but it also came out ahead in sales for the month of October.
"The strength of the greatest games lineup in Xbox history drove record Xbox Live usage for October and made Xbox One the best-selling console in the U.S. with 81 percent growth compared to October 2014," Xbox marketing corporate VP Mike Nichols said in a statement shared with GameSpot.
While the PS4 is currently dominating the war, lest we not forget the second battle that follows this Christmas where the two consoles will once again fight for number one.
