Demi Lovato is among the many people sharing her heartfelt condolences with Tiffany Thornton over the sudden and tragic loss of her husband Chris Carney.

Earlier this week, the former 'The Prom Kings' band member was one of two people killed in a single car accident in Arkansas.

In the tragic aftermath Lovato took to Instagram to post, "Been trying to figure out what to say all day... This morning I woke up to terrible news. My good friend Chris Carney has passed away. This picture is a perfect example of the love he shared with Tiff and how much fun he was to be around. I've been to many weddings but this is by far the most memorable because the way they looked into each other's eyes and the love they had for one another."

Lovato and Thornton previously starred together on Disney Channels "Sonny With a Chance."

Throughout her post, she added news of the accident still doesn't seem real to her and she is still largely left speechless by it.

"I don't know how to put into words how heartbroken I am for Tiffany and their two baby boys," she added. "You're already missed Chris."

Carney and Thornton were married and 2011 and are the parents of Kenneth James, 3, and Bentley Cash, 21 months. Lovato's boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama is a godparent to the older boy.

According to authorities, the crash occurred just before 2 a.m. when driver Ezekiel Blanton apparently lost control of the vehicle he and Carney were traveling in and struck a tree.

A memorial service for 35-year-old Carney is expected to be held on sometime on Monday. Lovato also shared a link on her Instagram page of a GoFundMe account set up to help Thornton and her family handle living expenses.
