Jon Bon Jovi is still interested in buying an NFL franchise more than a year after making a failed bid to own the Buffalo Bills. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Bon Jovi is keeping an eye on the potential sale of the Tennessee Titans.

The 53-year-old rock star along with a group of Canadian businessmen lost to billionaire Terry Pegula's $1.4 million bid to buy the Bills in 2014. Bon Jovi was the face of the group that also included Edward Rogers, chairman of Rogers Communications, and Larry Tanenbaum, chairman of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment that has control over the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL and Toronto Raptors of the NBA, per The New York Post.

It was probably the best for the New Jersey-native that he was unsuccessful in acquiring the Bills because of the backlash he received from fans. According to SB Nation, it started with the possibility of relocation to Toronto that led to the creation of a group called "Bills Fan Thunder." The main objective of the group was making Bon Jovi the most hated man in Buffalo and upstate New York.

He was also interested in purchasing 15 percent of the Atlanta Falcons for $150 million in 2011, per ESPN. The two-time Grammy Award-nominated singer, who has a net worth of about $300 million and former owner of the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League, will need to have better partners in hopes to buy the Titans.

However, the Adams family has denied that the Titans are for sale. The team have not been the same since the death of Bud Adams in 2013, and it's just a matter of time before his children sell the Titans, per Music City Miracles. Tennessee are currently at last place in the AFC South with a 3-9 record and have not made the playoffs since 2008.

La Canfora noted that besides Bon Jovi, there are other potential buyers of the Titans. One of them is Appaloosa Management founder David Tepper, who is a minority owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates and has a net worth of $11.6 billion. FedEx founder and CEO Fred W. Smith is also interested, even though he is already a part-time owner of the Washington Redskins.

The Frist family, headed by Thomas Frist Jr., who has a net worth of $7.5 billion, are also a candidate and are natives of Nashville. Even Peyton Manning, a University of Tennessee alumnus, is also a potential partner for an ownership group that may buy the Titans if it becomes available on the market.
