Beyonce Knowles Performance and Concert Lawsuit: 'Drunk in Love' Singer Has Been Sued…By Her Fans
Pop diva Beyoncé Knowles Carter has been served... by her fans.
Two fans of the "Drunk In Love" singer claim that she is partially responsible for the stampede of people that broke out when the doors opened for her show. They claim that the stampede resulted in chaos and they ended up getting trampled and endured physical trauma.
TMZ reports that the alleged stampede left the girls "unconscious with broken bones and other injuries."
As a result of their pain and suffering, the girls have decided to sue Beyonce, the United Center, and Live Nation for negligence in controlling the concert crowd.
The two plaintiffs are Raquel Castellanos and Gabriella Davidson. What started out as a normal wait in line for to see Beyoncé's Mrs. Carter show last December in Chicago, ended in a fear for their lives, according to the lawsuit and the girls' attorney, Thomas Paris.
It all started when Castellanos and Davidson arrived several hours early with their tickets to the Dec. 13 Beyoncé concert for ther widely popular Mrs. Carter tour. The two Cook County women bought general admission tickets and were the first in line in an attempt to get the best seat for the show.
The girls claim that, during the wait, the crowd grew anxious and became tense as there was no explanation from the United Center about proper procedure for entering the venue and what gates would open to let them in.
Finally, after much wait and angst, United Center Personnel opened the gates around 7 p.m. "without instruction or any reasonable system to permit an orderly entrance," the suit claims.
Chaos ensued as the huge crowd of people pushed and shoved to get the best seat in the house. Amidst the havoc, "Castellanos broke her ankle and Davidson was knocked unconscious," claims the girls' attorney, Thomas Paris. Paris also claims that the women accrued medical expenses and Castellanos lost time from work.
The wounds and trauma landed the girls in Rush Medical Center in Chicago. The girls were brought to the hospital via Chicago Fire Department's ambulance.
Beyoncé, Live Nation, and the United Center have not yet commented on the lawsuit.
