The setting of the "Fallout 4" video game has been in Boston, and, now, critics are saying that everything from the video game has been downsized from the real deal.

According to TechTimes, this has been the main problem with the game. Everything about the real Boston has been downsized. First, the Public Garden and the Boston Common have been stripped off with blocks and squished into just one block. The Public Garden, on the other hand, has a feature that even Bostonians will not be able to comprehend -- swan boats.

"Fallout 4" may be popular on its own right, but the inclusion of the Boston setting to the game served as an entry to great comparison. The Faneuil Hall has also been treated with a single building, a far cry from what the real Faneuil Hall in Boston looks, which has several buildings as well as shops and relatively large recreational areas.

The famous comedy club called Comedy Connection can also be seen in "Fallout 4." However, its design did not live up to the real thing.

The town of Salem has also been pointed out because of its lack in luster in the video game. Boston's Salem is lively and features historic installations that include the oldest Candy Shop in the U.S. as well as some witchcraft retail stores.

While there have been several misses on "Fallout 4's" Boston setting, the game also has some nice features such as the Salem Witch Museum's interiors. Inside the Salem Museum of Witchcraft, as "Fallout 4" calls it, gamers can see exhibits that are similar, if not identical, to the real Salem Witch Museum. The only difference is the presence of Deathclaw on "Fallout 4's" concept, something you don't find in the real Boston museum.

Bethesda's rendition of the Fenway Park in Diamond City also received praises as the game nailed what the famous baseball field looked like. What made it even more interesting is the presence of Green Monster, more like a green backdrop in a form of a wall, carefully maintained with its green color. The "Fallout 4" game gave justice to the place by designing it to be believable.

Bethesda's concept of the "Fallout 4" location has been a mix of hits and misses. Have you played "Fallout 4" lately? What do you think of the game's version of the real Boston?
