The Asus brand really built a commendable line of smartphones with the ZenFone collection. There are a lot of impressive handsets that are part of the family and this week, the company has decided to train the spotlight on one that stands out amidst an array of well-received devices: the Asus ZenFone Max.

According to a report from the Phone Arena, a new trailer dropped that highlighted the new smartphone's best features. Dubbed "See your world with ultimate energy", the nearly two-minute video underlined the massive 5000 mAh battery cell running the device.

The power is truly an advantage for the model as it reportedly offers a standby time of 38 days, talk time of 37.6 hours, web browsing for 32.5 hours, music playback for 72.9 hours, and video playback for 22.6 hours, as well as having power bank functions to charge the user's other gadgets out of the house. In a world where running out of battery is a common nightmare, the Asus ZenFone Max assures consumers it's well-packed with enough to spare.

The battery capacity of the new Asus smartphone isn't the only edge of the device. The video also focuses on the ZenFone Max's remarkable 13-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus, backlight HDR mode, low light capabilities, beautification features, selfie panorama and dual LED real tone flash. A five-megapixel front camera backs up the main snapper for selfies and video calls.

Under the hood, the Asus smartphone is powered by a 64-bit super quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor as well as 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded. It runs the Android Lollipop with a new and efficient Zen user interface. The device also features a 5.5-inch screen with 720p of resolution.

Users who place significance on smartphone aesthetics might enjoy the sleek look of the ZenFone Max. The faux leather rear cover and metal accents combine for a smooth design and at 202 grams at 156 x 77.5 x 10.5 mm, the device is able to offer a lightweight handset packed with heavyweight specs.

A previous report from Endgadget placed the ZenFone Max's release date in October, but the much-anticipated Asus smartphone have yet to make its debut in the market until now. No details on the launch date or price point have been confirmed, but considering the recent trailer, it's expected to drop soon after the recent release of its fellow Asus device ZenFone Zoom.
