Eagles of Death Metal were in Paris when the series of terror attacks shattered the city on Nov. 13. The band was performing for their fans inside the Bataclan concert hall, where the killings took place. They have since vowed to return to the city to continue their show and they were given the opportunity when U2 invited them on stage during their concert.

The band was the last to perform during U2's concert on Monday night at the AccorHotels Arena. Bono called them to come up the stage, giving them the chance to continue their show, which was cut short because of the Paris attacks.

U2 frontman Bono introduced Eagles of Death Metal before the band appeared on stage.

"Now, nothing left except to introduce you to some people whose lives will forever be a part of this city of Paris. These are our brothers. Our fellow troubadours. They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago, and we would like to offer them ours tonight. Would you welcome the Eagles of Death Metal!" Bono is heard saying in the video below.

Lead singer Jesse Hughes then stepped out on the stage dressed in a white suit. He and Bono exchange handshakes and an embrace. The rest of the band members appear to the delight and cheers of the crowd.

Hughes opened up their show in a positive note, asking everybody if they are having a good time. The crowd cheered and waved their arms in response.

Bono and Hughes performed a duet of Patti Smith's "People Have The Power." Eagles of Death Metal then ended their show singing their own classic hit "I Love You All The Time."

"Thank you so much. We love you so good we hope you know this. Thank you Paris, we love you. We will never give up rock and rolling," Hughes tells the crowd before he and the rest of the band members took a bow together. Eagles of Death Metal left the stage to the sounds of incessant clapping and cheers from the audience.

According to BBC, U2's concert was initially scheduled on Nov. 14 and 15. However, they had to reschedule because of the recent terrorist attacks. Eagles of Death Metal, meanwhilw, returned to Paris only less than a month since that tragic night at their Bataclan concert.
