Nike Release Dates, Price & Where To Buy: Kobe 10 ‘Majors’ & MetCon 1 ‘PR Hunter’ [Photos]
Nike will release two new sneakers in the coming days -- the new colorways of the Kobe 10 and Nike MetCon.
The Kobe 10, the latest signature shoe of Los Angeles Lakers superstar, will come out in what is named as the "Majors" edition, which is officially listed as the University Red/White-Bright Crimson-Hot Lava colorway.
The Kobe 10 "Majors" features a red-based upper part accented with white Nike Swoosh logo on the side panel with a black heel area. It also has a red tongue, which bears Bryant's signature and a black mamba logo on the black insole. It was finished off with a speckled midsole and red outsole with gold "X" logo.
According to Nike, this shoe pays tribute to athletes who became role model for their fellow athletes like Bryant, who has been making noise in the NBA over the past 20 years. It should be noted that the 17-time NBA All-Star recently announced that the 2015-16 NBA season will be his farewell season in the league.
"For some athletes, their incredible work ethic, sportsmanship and ascent to MVP are propelled by their idols and the examples they set," Nike noted. "This collection celebrates Kobe as a role model with an LA-inspired graphic and bold colors."
The Kobe 10 "Majors" will be available on Wednesday, starting 10 a.m. ET with retail price set at $180 per pair. More photos and details about this new Kobe 10 colorway, including related items, are available on the official product page on Nike.com.
Meanwhile, aside from the Kobe 10 Elite "Majors" edition, Nike will also release a new colorway of their MetCon 1 model soon -- the "PR Hunter" edition, which is officially listed as the Black/Total Orange-Baroque Brown/Tawny/Gum Med Brown colorway of the shoe.
The Nike MetCon 1 "PR Hunter" edition sports a black-based part with total orange hints on the laces. It also has a total orange Nike Swoosh and Nike logos, and also the pull tab and a portion of the heel area. It was finished off with a gum brown sole. According to Nike, this show was designed for high-level training.
"Seasons change, colors shift, workouts get harder. Hunt down your personal best this winter in the strong and stable Nike Metcon, designed for high-intensity training, lifting and explosive cutting and jumping," Nike noted. "The Metcon is made to support your power in every direction, with a low-profile stance and an anti-abrasion design."
The Nike MetCon 1 "PR Hunter" will be released on Monday, Dec. 14, with retail price set at $120 per pair on Nike.com and selected retailers worldwide. More photos and details can be seen on this link.
