Models Kristy Garett and Amberleigh West have been named Playboy's last nude playmates before the popular men's magazine stops publishing nude photos.

According to People, West has been named Miss January 2016 and Garett, who hails from Tbilisi, Georgia, has been named Miss February 2016. They will be appearing in the magazine's January/February 2016 issue.

The 25-year-old Garett, who has modeled for GQ Italy, Grazia France and Cosmopolitan Italy, expressed her delight over the honor.

"Playboy has a classic American story, and I want to be a part of it," she said. "The lifestyle here, where you're free to express yourself, is my type of life. I am proud of the woman I am and have always dreamed of being talked about because of that."  

West was just as excited about the opportunity, telling Playboy, "I am serious about everything I do in life, an I'm honored to be a part of Playboy."

In October, Playboy announced that they would stop publishing nude photos of women because the internet now makes nudity very accessible.

"That battle has been fought and won," Playboy CEO Scott Flanders said. "You're now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free. And so it's just passé at this juncture."  

In an article explaining the change, Playboy revealed that the times have changed. Since relaunching the Playboy website, the brand has realized that nudity isn't the only reason people are interested in the publication.

"The Bunny transcends nudity. Tens of millions of readers come to our non-nude website and app every month for, yes, photos of beautiful women, but also for articles and videos from our humor, sex and culture, style, nightlife, entertainment and video game sections," the article noted. "We are, and always have been, 'entertainment for men' - with award-winning journalism and fiction to boot. Playboy is a cultural arbiter of beauty, taste, opinion, humor and style." 

The first issue of Playboy was published in 1953, and its cover star was none other than Hollywood sex symbol Marilyn Monroe.
