"The Bachelor" stars Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici have finally revealed that they are expecting their first child together. The married couple announced the news on social media on Tuesday.

The reality stars and married couple, who got engaged during the filming of "The Bachelor" in 2013 and married the year after, are now finally having a baby, Us Weekly reports. Giudici posted the sweet photo of herself and her husband who was holding her tummy on Instagram.

"Hey baby," Giudici wrote as a caption to the photo while Lowe also posted the same shot with the caption, "It's happening! I'm going to be a dad!" Lowe wrote on his Instagram post.

Meanwhile, the news also was confirmed by the couple through their statement on Life & Style magazine, where the duo shared their excitement for their pregnancy journey.

"We are so thrilled to announce that we're expecting!" the married couple said. "Thank you all for the love and support you've given us over the years. We can only hope to be half as good of parents are our parents were to us."

A source even revealed to the publication how much the two reality stars have dreamt of this day to come. "Catherine and Shawn are over the moon they are having a baby. They both have dreamed of this day for a very long time. No one believed they would ever make it as a reality show couple and here they are today starting a family," the source said.

The news comes after both got in the middle of a backlash after posting an April Fool's Day prank on social media saying that Giudici was pregnant when she was, in fact, not pregnant at all during that time. After receiving an enormous amount of comments from the public, the couple released a statement saying how it was not at all their intention to be insensitive to people having fertility issues.

"On nearly every picture Catherine posts on Instagram, she gets flooded with comments from people who tell her she looks pregnant," Lowe said as quoted by Us Weekly. "So that was the genesis of yesterday's post, it was playing off of the bombardment of pregnancy comments she reads every day and messing with those who post them," he added.

The couple is starring in "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" after their stint in "The Bachelor" back in 2013, the publication reports.
