Selena Gomez Zone & Songs: 'Slow Down' Star's Home Trespassed Yet Again By Same Intruder?
Looks like "Come &Get It" singer Selena Gomez isn't getting the happy welcome she hoped for since her recent $3 million mansion purchase in the Hollywood Hills.
Soon after reports surfaced that Gomez was moving into the mansion, news hit that trespassing occurred on the 21-year-old singer's newly-purchased property.
The first report of trespassing happened on March 30, when 20-year-old Che Cruz jumped Gomez's fence and knocked on the singer's door while she was in her home. Gomez reportedly told Cruz to leave her property but the trespasser hid in Gomez's guest-house bathroom instead.
Police officials fled to the scene and arrested Cruz, who acknowledged his trespassing at the performer's home. On Wednesday, Cruz was sentenced to 45 days in jail.
In his court appearance, Cruz pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count of unauthorized entry of a dwelling house, according to L.A. County Deputy Dist. Atty. Eduards Abele.
L.A. Times reports, "In addition to his jail term and three years of probation, Abele said the judge ordered Cruz to stay away from Gomez and her residence. He was also prohibited from possessing any weapons."
But the story doesn't stop there.
Despite his 45-day sentence, Cruz was released early from jail on Friday and apparently he did not learn his lesson.
No more than eight hours later, Cruz went back to the singer's home. Police arrested the stubborn intruder yet again for violation of the protective order that required him to stay at least 150 yards away from the singer's residence.
Since his second arrest, Cruz has been held in place of $20,000 bail. Jail records did not indicate whether Cruz had an attorney.
Will Che Cruz be released again? We will just have to wait and see. However, it's pretty safe to say that Gomez might need to beef up security at her Calabasas mansion.
