Channing Tatum Movies: New Movie Co-Star Mila Kunis to Present 'Step Up' Actor With Trailblazer Award at 2014 MTV Movie Awards
Channing Tatum is a true trailblazer. At least, MTV considers him one.
That's why the 33-year old actor, formerly named sexiest man alive by People's Magazine in 2012, will be receiving the Trailblazer award at this year's MTV Awards. He will be the first male to take home the trophy, for "boldly paving the way with his unique and diverse path in the film industry." Other winners include actresses Emma Watson and Emma Stone.
"Channing Tatum is the quintessential leading man for the MTV audience," MTV president Stephen Friedman said in a press release, "He proves that an action hero can have both a quick wit and a large heart. Whether he's baring his soul in The Vow, his chest in Magic Mike or his humor in 21 Jump Street, Channing proves that by committing everything, you can accomplish anything."
It's true, Channing Tatum is doing big things. The actor will return as popular jock-turned-loser undercover cop Jenko in 22 Jump Street. He will also star in the Wachowski siblings' sci-fi film Jupiter Ascending, alongside actress Mila Kunis, as well as the American drama, Foxcatcher, with Steve Carrell and Mark Ruffalo. There is also a sequel to Magic Mike in the works.
The 2014 MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by comedian Conan O'Brien. As always, the awards will be determined by the fans, who will vote on a number of exciting categories including: Best Comedic Performance, Best Villain, Best Kiss, Best Scared-As-Sh-- Performance, Best Musical Moment, #WTF Moment, Best On-Screen Duo, Best Fight, and Best Shirtless Performance. Presenters include Mila Kunis (presenting the Trailblazer award to Tatum), as well as Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton.
The show will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on April 13.
