Tom Cruise has decided he wants to raise his young daughter in the Church of Scientology and to fight ex-wife Katie Holmes for custody if he feels he needs to.

Though the "Mission Impossible" star reportedly hasn't seen his 9-year-old daughter for two years, Hollywood Life reports he plans to soon reestablish his place in her life.

Sources indicate the 53-year-old megastar has "vowed to reconnect with Suri," and if that means taking legal action against Holmes, he's prepared to do so.

Word is Cruise is also committed to the idea of having his daughter grow up in the Church of Scientology. A source adds Cruise is convinced his young daughter will now be able to grasp the primary concepts of the religion for herself.

"His ultimate goal is to raise Suri in the Church, like his adopted kids [Connor Cruise, 20, and Isabella Cruise, 22]," a source said. "That freaks Katie out."

Recently, the 36-year-old Holmes has largely remained silent on the subject of Scientology, though Cruise is reported to have recently grown furious with her when she publicly apologized to Leah Remini.

The former "King of Queens" star endlessly bashed the church in her recent tell-all about the religion. Among some of her harshest criticisms was the way she claimed Cruise was once actively raising his daughter.

Holmes is now rumored to be tortured by the idea Suri Cruise will be no match for her father, unable to stand up to him.

"Katie will have to get up for the fight of her life is she plans to stop Tom," a source added. "After he finishes filming "Jack Reacher II" in New Orleans, he's planning on making a big effort to re-bond with his daughter and maybe even try for more custody."
