Five-year-Old Kristoffer Von Hassel made an accidental discovery on his family's Xbox that has now made him the topic of headlines.

The 5-year-old found a way to bypass the security lock on his father's Xbox without the use of a correct password.

Kristoffer's father activated the Xbox's parental safeguard lock so that his son would not have access to adult video games. However, the 'baby genius' accidently discovered through a series of failed attempts that once he typed in space keys at the end of an incorrect password, Xbox would grant him access to the more adult games in the gaming system.

This isn't the first time Kristoffer has been able to finagle his way into cracking a code. Kristoffer's dad commented that his son has been able to figure out three or four other hacks including a way to unlock a smartphone lock screen by holding down the home button. Kristoffer was just one year old when he made the smartphone discovery.

"I got so nervous. I thought he was gonna find out," Kristoffer admitted to KGTV-10 about his Xbox hack.

However Kristoffer's father Robert Davis was far from upset.

"How awesome is that?" asked Davies, who works in computer security himself. "Just being 5 years old and being able to find a vulnerability and latch on to that. I thought that was pretty cool."

Perhaps Kristoffer will follow in his father's footsteps?

After his discover, Kristoffer and his family reported the glitch to Microsoft. Microsoft has since fixed the security problem.

"We're always listening to our customers and thank them for bringing issues to our attention," the company said in a written statement. "We take security seriously at Xbox and fixed the issue as soon as we learned about it," says Microsoft.

"I'm gonna be famous," young Kristoffer exclaimed to KGTV-10, given the knowledge that Microsoft has included Kristoffer's name on their site as a security researcher.

The company will also be sending their young security researcher four games, $50, and a year's subscription to Xbox Live from Microsoft.
