The 13th One Piece film will be directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto, scripted by Tsutomu Kuroiwa and executively produced by creator Eiichiro Oda, per Anime News Network. The 40-year-old mangaka also produced the 12th "One Piece" movie titled "One Piece Film: Z" in 2012.
The Weekly Shonen Jump's second issue of 2016 will be available on Dec. 14 and it reveals the bonus extra that will be packaged with the first batch of tickets. The pre-sale of tickets goes on sale on Dec. 18. No details about the film's plot have been released, but many fans have speculated that it will be about the adventures of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, per Design & Trend.
Two of the latest "One Piece" movies, "One Piece Film: Strong World" and "One Piece Film: Z," are about Shiki and Zephyr respectively, and are legendary pirates in the time of the Pirate King. Not much information has been given about Roger so it's natural for fans to speculate that the movie is about him.
Fans have been waiting on the details of Roger's powers and his Devil Fruit considering that he is stronger than Whitebeard, who singlehandedly caused a lot of chaos and destruction in his old age during the Marineford Arc.
