Lenovo YOGA Tab 3 Pro Features: New Wearable Jacket Doubles as Movie Screen for Tablet's Projector [Video]
Imagine this. You have the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro tablet at hand. The device includes a Pico projector, and there's this great movie you want to watch with your friends. You gather them up at a park, knowing that the 10,200 mAh battery keeps the tablet on for up to 18 hours. Everything appears to be in place, but then you realize you were on such a rush that you forgot to bring a projector screen!
Fortunately, you are wearing Lenovo's new Screen Jacket. You take the garment off, turn it inside out, use the included hooks to hang it on a fence and voila, a portable projector screen that serves as the perfect companion for your YOGA Tab 3 Pro.
TheGadgetsFreak noted that the Screen Jacket costs $383, nearly as much as the tablet itself. When reversed, the piece of clothing turns into a movie screen that's 47 inches wide and 24 inches tall. For a live action demo of the Yoga Tab 3 Pro accessory, check out the YouTube video below.
The Screen Jacket can go anywhere you take the Yoga Tab 3 Pro. It's available in different skins designed by names like Felipe Pantone, Janine Rewell, Jean Spezial and Yogo Honda. It's fashionable enough to put on even when you leave your Yoga Tab 3 Pro at home.
Speaking of the Yoga Tab 3 Pro, the tablet was introduced in September at IFA 2015 and was released last month in various markets around the world.
The tablet sports a 10.1-inch screen carrying a 1600 x 2560 display. TechRadar commended the device for displaying extremely bright and vibrant colors. Its QHD resolution is at par with current 10-inch tablet standards.
The Yoga Tab 3 Pro's screen is considerably sharper than those of its mid-range counterparts. Its pixel density of 299ppi makes it equal to the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, but slightly above the iPad Air 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.
Intel's 64-bit Atom X5-Z8500 chipset is under the hood, complete with a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.24GHz. Memory-wise, there's 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. Those who require extra hard disk space can access the tablet's 128GB capacity microSD card slot.
A 13-megapixel camera is on the back while a five-megapixel unit is on the front. The Android 5.1 device has support for Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, microUSB and USB charging, per PhoneArena.
TrustedReviews gave the tablet an eight out of ten rating and called it the best entertainment tablet of 2015.
