Tesla's electric car is already zero emissions and now they are finding ways to use their extra materials from their cars into a phone case for the latest iPhones.

Tesla is now selling phone cases that are made of leather that comes from the same leather that they use inside their electric vehicles, Tech Radar reports.

Tesla will use the excess leather that is leftover from the manufacturing process of their vehicles, reducing waste. The cases will feel just like the leather seats that Tesla vehicle owners sit on and will have the Tesla logo on them.

The recycled seat upholstery cases will start at $45. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users will always be able to feel what a Tesla feels like with these cases.

To save even more materials, customers can purchase an upgraded iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus case with credit card slots, replacing their wallet. The $75 Tesla iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus upgraded leather case comes with RFID-blocking card slots to keep customers safe from identity theft.

Tesla is also selling other branded accessories from its website.

A startup company has taken one of Nikola Tesla's ideas and made it into a phone case. The Nikola Labs team has found a way to charge iPhones will they remain in an owner's pocket.

The phone case from Nikola Labs recycles unused radio waves to provide the iPhone with a charge, GMA Network reports.

"Nikola Technology efficiently converts RF signals like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and LTE into DC power using its proprietary energy harvesting circuit. The result is usable energy that can provide power to mobile devices wirelessly," the company said.

Nikola Labs say that the case can use up to 90 percent of wasted energy from the phone and convert it back into energy to recharge the phone.
