WWE Raw Spoilers, Preview for Dec 14, 2015: TLC Results, New Champion Crowned
WWE fans saw a new champion crowned at "TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs" on Sunday night. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus retained his title, but it was Dean Ambrose who became the new Intercontinental Champion.
Ambrose defeated Owens by reversing the latter's pop-up powerbomb with a hurricanrana. Ambrose's win gave his WWE resume a second title reign after previously winning the United States Championship in 2013. For "Monday Night Raw," Owens will be on the prowl against Ambrose and will likely get a rematch either at the end of the month or for January's "Royal Rumble."
In regards to Sheamus, he successfully retained his championship against Roman Reings. Sheamus did receive an advantage due to help from fellow League of Nations members Rusev and Alberto Del Rio. After the match, Reigns became livid and attacks Del Rio, Rusev and Sheamus. Furthermore, Triple H appeared and Reigns attacked him. Reigns managed to crash Triple H into the Spanish announce table and spear him while officials tried to carry him to safety. It's unknown if Triple H will be attending "Raw" since NXT will prepare to broadcast "TakeOver: London" this Wednesday. If Triple H does appear on "Raw," he will no doubt set up further obstacles for Reigns with the League of Nations members. The prediction, however, is Triple H will be away from television from broadcast television for a week in order to travel to London.
Del Rio, meanwhile, also successfully retained his United States Championship against Jack Swagger in a chairs match. After Sunday night, it's unknown who will be his next opponent for the title, but most likely the WWE will have him focus on the Sheamus-Reigns storyline.
WWE Divas Champion Charlotte defeated Paige. Although Charlotte continued to use her dirty tactics, with the help of Ric Flair, she maintains her friendship with Becky Lynch. Lynch, who lost to Sasha Banks during the "TLC" kick-off show, has questioned Charlotte for slowly becoming a heel. On Monday, Charlotte will likely put Lynch's loyalty to the test and hopefully set up the next feud for "Royal Rumble."
WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day are still the champions after a grueling ladder match against The Usos and The Lucha Dragons.
"Monday Night Raw" airs weekly at 8 p.m. EST on the USA Network.
