‘X-Factor UK' Judge Chery Vernandez-Versini Receives Twitter Backlash Over Thin Frame
A photo of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini shared by The Sun shows the "X-Factor UK" judge looking unwell with her thin frame. The photo was reportedly grabbed from one of the several pre-recorded videos ahead of the show's finale on Sunday. The singer, wearing a black Christmas-themed sweater and with her hair tied in a bun atop her head, looked so gaunt as her cheekbones became more prominent.
Fans took to Twitter to express their concern for Fernandez-Versini. Others commented on how frail she looks while some also thought she looked like she's dying because of her hollow cheeks.
Omg Cheryl is seriously skinny....her cheeks are soooo sunken #XFactor #notagoodlook

Other Twitter users also commented on how the "X-Factor UK" judge may be taking prohibited drugs because of how she's suddenly lost so much weight. One Twitter user, named Lee Walker, wrote, "Cheryl Fernandez-versini needs a bit of food, looks like a meth addict." Another user, named Alex, added, "That Cheryl is either heavy on the Coke or shes been nailed aff Charlie sheen! Far too skinny."
A search on Twitter about the singer being so skinny gave over 10 results for Dec. 13 alone after her appearance at the "X-Factor UK" live finale.
However, this is not the first time she has been attacked by netizens due to her thin frame. She has since repeatedly slammed reports about her weight loss. Fernandez-Versini had opened up about the criticisms about her body in a previous interview with InStyle magazine in October, where she called the body shaming as "crazy double standards."
"You'd never be allowed to say to somebody, 'Oh, you look a bit fat.' And being overweight is unhealthy - it's actually a bad message to tell someone who is obese that they look 'curvy' or 'great'. But you know what? After this length of time, there's nothing I can hear about myself that I haven't already heard," she said.
Despite all the criticisms, the "X-Factor UK" judge still has the respect and support of some loyal fans. They also took to Twitter to express their disapproval over the body shaming the singer has received.
If it's wrong to body shame bigger girls it's wrong to body shame skinny girls. All this with Cheryl is wrong.

Another user, named Rat, wrote, “Im so sick of seeing so many people skinny shame cheryl/ skinny shame in general.” Meanwhile, another fan, named Joanna, also thought body shaming someone skinny is similar to body shaming someone who's fat.
