'Big Girls Cry' Singer Sia Furler Buys $5.2M Toluca Lake House
"Big Girls Cry" singer Sia Furler buys a retreat home in California.
Furler, the popular songwriter has bought a $5.2 million Toluca Lake house, Variety reports. The real estate blog notes that the Australian-born singer known for "Alive," "Elastic Heart" and "Clap Your Hands" shares ownership of this vacation-worthy abode with her documentary movie producer Erik Anders Lang. They reportedly purchased the property via a corporation.
The Toluca Lake residence covers 4,549 square feet and displays three bedrooms and three bathrooms, noted the outlet, citing Los Angeles Tax Records. The 39-year-old music artist may truly find delight with her newly acquired California property as it also comes with its own recording studio. Writing songs and recording them will be a breeze for Furler in her new home.
Aside from the main residence, there is also a separate guest house for visitors who would want to enjoy a couple of days' stay in the gated dwelling place. Guests may really opt to extend their stay as the expansive estate has so much to offer. Basing on the report and the images available on the site, the main house built in the 1940s showcases wonderfully landscaped grounds around it. The nearly 1.4-acre estate comes with several flagstone terraces, spacious lawns, grown trees and beautiful and colorful gardens. There is also a huge swimming pool that can accommodate a big group's party. Amenities like a built-ins grilling station and an outdoor fireplace will complement a mini get-together among friends or relatives.
This is not just their first real estate move this year.
In June, the "Chandelier" singer and her husband purchased a $4.7 million Los Feliz estate, a separate article from Variety announced in July. The Loz Feliz estate is noted to have 5,161-square-foot living space that features five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Just a few months later, the couple already offered the home on the market for almost $5 million, Los Angeles Times reported. This means that Furler and Lang may get nearly $300,000 profit from the sale of this house.
Although Furler and Lang have said goodbye to their Los Feliz home, Variety notes they still own a cottage in Echo Park and a single-family compound in Palm Springs.
It is not a surprise for the hitmaker to acquire several properties in just a few years. Aside from her blockbuster songs, the talented songwriter also penned songs for Rihanna and Madonna.
Just how gifted is she? In 2014, New York Times informed that in just 14 minutes, she was able to complete Rihanna's "Diamonds."
