Lamar Odom is rumored to be "far from his old self" and sometimes even struggles to remember his own name.

Though Khloe Kardashian recently boasted her estranged husband could be headed for a full mental recovery, a source tells ET Online his day to day struggles remain persistent.

"He's not doing great," the source added of the 36-year-old former NBA star. "His speech is still slurred and he can barely walk on his own yet. He forgets a lot of people's names -- sometimes even his own. He definitely has some memory loss."

Kardashian and her family are reported to still be supportive of Odom, frequently stopping by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to check in on him. The family had him transferred to the LA-based facility soon after he was rushed to a hospital emergency room. Odom has been hospitalized ever since being found unresponsive and bleeding from the nose and mouth at the Nevada brothel where he was staying in early October.

"I don't know if he can right now," Kardashian recently responded when asked if her ex has been able to show her much gratitude for the kindness she has shown him over the course of his ordeal. "Like, I don't know if he fully understands everything, but I know he is grateful... and I'm not doing it for validation. I'm not doing it to get praise back."

In a new video posted to her website, Kardashian recently talked about her struggles with anxiety after enduring an up and down 2015. Just month, she revealed she was suffering from a staph infection that was exacerbated by stress, forcing her to cancel a recent book tour.

"Lord knows I've had stress and anxiety lately," she said. "This year has been absolutely horrible, but it's almost done. I'm just praying that 2016 will be better. It has to be."
