WWE Predictions: Potential Winner of the Royal Rumble, Matches on PPV Card
The Royal Rumble is more than a month away, but the conclusion of the latest episode of Monday Night RAW have given away some of the potential matches on the first pay-per-view of 2016. Here are the predictions for the possible winner of the Royal Rumble and possible matches on the event.
Charlotte (c) vs Becky Lynch for the WWE Divas Championship
The current Divas champion is preparing for her inevitable heel turn after a failed run as a babyface. Her next feud will be against Becky Lynch as she is the perfect opponent. Bleacher Report noted that many fans would want Sasha Banks in that position, but WWE may be saving it for WrestleMania 32.
Alberto Del Rio (c) vs John Cena for the United State Championship
John Cena is close to returning to WWE television after losing his U.S. title against Alberto Del Rio at Hell in a Cell last October. It's the obvious way to go for the 15-time world champion as he never invoked his rematch clause.
Dean Ambrose (c) vs Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship
In the latest episode of RAW, Ambrose battled Ziggler in a non-title match before the former champion attacked both men. Owens will get his rematch against Ambrose but look for Ziggler to get involved and set up the Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental title.
Roman Reigns (c) vs Triple H in a Non-Title Match
"The Roman Empire" finally went over the top as fans cheered for him when he defeated Sheamus to win his second WWE World Heavyweight championship on RAW with his career on the line. "The Celtic Warrior" will probably get his rematch before the Rumble as Reigns just entered his feud with Vince McMahon and look for Triple H to represent the family at the event.
Triple H was the recipient of the vicious beatdown by Reigns at TLC and Vince got punched towards the end of RAW's main event. WWE's first family will look to make Roman's life as champion a living hell with fans finally cheering for him.
WWE Royal Rumble Match
Inquisitr noted in an earlier report that Brock Lesnar was expected to be part of the Royal Rumble. He could possibly win the match in the feud for WrestleMania 32 but is not the logical choice to face Roman Reigns, who just went over the fans as the next face of the company.
There are just very few options for the Royal Rumble winner as reported by FanSided due to the failure of WWE to create stars and a host of injuries. Along with Lesnar and Cena, Ambrose, Kevin Owens and Bray Wyatt have the better chance to win the Rumble than most of the superstars in the roster.
