"Battlefield 4" is still gaining ground in its video game run as another free DLC drops in time for the holiday season. This time, a popular map from the previous "Battlefield 2" will be making a comeback as part of the patch dubbed the Legacy Operations.

According to a report from GameSpot, the new patch will include the Dragon Valley map as well as another old favorite, the Noshahr Canals map. The patch notes from EA Games also revealed a number of bug fixes and tweaks for an upgraded game performance including improvements to the weapons, vehicles, game modes and more.

Certainly, the biggest addition from the patch is the Dragon Valley map that the fans have been asking for since its first appearance in the second game of the franchise.

"Our goal for this map was to make an impressive, large vehicle map for 'Battlefield 4,' but at the same time modernize the original when appropriate -- and include the full spectrum of applicable game modes," the developer explained in an official post on the "Battlefield" website. "We weren't going for a perfect replica here, rather looking to mimic the gameplay from the original in a very different game."

Players can expect a more massive experience in this new reimagining of the popular map. According to EA Games, the capture points are generally bigger with a more detailed layout and more total flags. It's also significantly taller because of more mountains in the regions. Each area in the map has also been upgraded to offer an even more vivid experience and suit the modern iteration of "Battlefield."

From the Chinese Base to the Hill Village, there are changes that have been enforced to be in line with the new game. Fans may also seek out the iconic pipeline of "Battlefield 2," but it has been converted to a subterranean system in the Dragon Valley 2015.

In-game events are another thing fans can look forward to in the Legacy Operations DLC, according to the full schedule posted in the "Battlefield" website. The schedule includes online battles every Friday night as well as opportunities for the players to win the Zodiac Dog Tags they might have missed in the game. Players are also encouraged to log in on Dec. 24 starting 9 a.m. to claim a free Gold Battlepack as a Christmas treat from the developers.

The "Battlefield 4" Legacy Operations update for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will be available on Tuesday, Dec. 15.
