With OnePlus slowly expanding their lineup of mobile devices, latest reports suggest that there might be a new smartphone in the works. OnePlus Mini 2 is reportedly in development, based on benchmarks.

Phone Arena's recent report noted that a new device from the Chinese tech manufacturer has emerged in GeekBench scan history. Though data from benchmarking like this could not quickly be trusted, as it can be spoofed easily, the report noted that at least, in this case, the data for the alleged OnePlus device sounds plausible.

Based on the specifications listed for the device, it looks like the company is working on a mini version of OnePlus 2, which comes with a 5.5-inch screen. Thus, the rumors for a OnePlus Mini 2 start to surface.

Accordingly, the specs of the alleged One Plus Mini 2 include a 4.6-inch screen display with a 1080p resolution. It appears as well that it will come pre-installed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.

Under the hood of the possible OnePlus Mini 2 handset is a Snapdragon 810 chipset, which might be paired with 4GB RAM. It could also come with 64GB of internal memory storage.

When it comes to the phone's shooting specs, the listed OnePlus device will have a 12-MP primary camera. As for the selfie shooter, the front-facing cam will reportedly get a 5MP lens sensor.

The post also noted that it is strange that the OnePlus phone listed does not have HDR functionality and NFC. However, the lack of the latter is reasonable. Phone Arena pointed out that the same is also not available in the OnePlus 2 smartphone.

One Plus 2 was released on August 2015 which, as aforementioned, comes with a 5.5-inch display. Particularly, it is equipped with an LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920p screen resolution.

The high-end phone from OnePlus has a pixel density of 401 ppi. Furthermore, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, as listed on GSM Arena's specs for the phone.

It comes with Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset. Two variants are available in terms of RAM and internal memory, the 16GB OnePlus 2 with 3 GB of RAM and the 64GB model with 4 GB RAM.
