It's been a while, but the new Pokémon in town is declared as both a Fire and Water type. The mythical creature called Volcanion is being set up as a favorite with serious capabilities that players can look forward to, according to an official report in the game's website.

Volcanion was described as a Steam Pokémon, and it cannot be earned through regular gameplay.

"Unlike any Pokémon discovered before it, this Pokémon is both Fire and Water type," the report revealed. "It uses fire and water to create steam within its body, expelling explosive shock waves and boiling steam from the arms on its back. The power is said to be great enough to blow away an entire mountain, gouging out the earth and changing the shape of the land."

The announcement of Volcanion was made in the official website of "Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire," which are both Pokémon RPGs for the Nintendo 3DS.

More details about the new character were revealed in the January 2016 issue of CoroCoro magazine, according to a report from Game Rant. Volcanion is reportedly the final Pokémon in the National Pokédex as of Generation VI, with a signature move called Steam Eruption. This move attacks the enemy with "superheated steam", as well as brandishing power of 110 and a 30 percent chance of giving the enemy a burn. It also thaws out Volcanion if the player is frozen while in attack.

Another creature that's set for a reimagining is the Shadow Mewtwo that showed up in the latest trailer of "Pokken Tournament." According to a previous report from Game Rant, the darker version of Mewtwo seemed to be set up as the primary antagonist of the upcoming game, although it also looks like the character will be among the playable characters in the roster of "Pokken Tournament".

According to a report from Comic Book, the latest character to be confirmed in the new game is Sceptile, the fully evolved form of Hoenn region starter Treeko. This particular character specializes in a great array of Grass-Type moves such as the Vine Whip, Grass Knot, Razor Blade and its signature move the Leaf Blade. The power of these moves can also be expanded with the use of Mega Evolve.

Other characters previously confirmed as part of the playable cast include Machamp, Pikachu, Lucario, Suicune, Charizard, Blaziken, Gengar, Gardevoir, Weavile, and Pikachu Libre.

"Pokken Tournament" is slated to be released in Wii U on Mar. 18, 2016. It is available for playing as an arcade game in Japan.
