'GTA 5' Gameplay: Latest Free Update Turns Players Into VIPs, Adds New Game Types & Other Cool New Features
The latest free update for "GTA 5" is now live across all supported platforms. Rockstar also shared details and highlights of the "Executives and Other Criminals" DLC on its official news website.
Players with in-game currency of more than $1 million in their Maze bank account can choose to become a VIP. VIP players can create and name their own organization and hire a maximum of three other players as personal bodyguards.
Those who prefer to be bodyguards can set their status as "looking for work" from the new "SecuroServ" menu. Once accepted into an organization, bodyguards will earn a periodic income of $5,000 in "GTA Online" funds. VIP players can provide their bodyguards with ammo and vehicles, including the new Turreted Limo. Bosses can also use a service known as "Ghost Organization," which temporarily hides their organization from the game's radar.
New Game Types and More for Freemode
Hostile Takeover: An unknown package is detained in a restricted area, and organizations compete to collect and deliver it to a specific location.
Asset Recovery: Organizations are sent to SPD stations to recover impounded vehicles while cops and other players try to destroy their vehicles.
Piracy Prevention: Players defend their assets on board a luxurious Super Yacht against attacking players and Seasharks.
Executive Deathmatch: VIP players are given ten lives in a Deathmatch-style battle against rival organizations.
Most Wanted: All players in the organization are hit with a 5-star wanted rating. The last player standing wins the challenge.
Market Manipulation: Players race from store to store in a hold-up spree to collect as much money as they can. The player with the most money at the end of the challenge wins.
Auto Buyout: Players steal and deliver as many vehicles as possible. Every vehicle has a specific value displayed. The player with the highest total value of vehicles delivered wins.
