Actress Salma Hayek shared a rare look at her face without makeup on Instagram and the 49-year-old star looked nothing short of stunning.

Hayek posted the photo on her Instagram account on Dec. 14 and captioned it with, "wet hair, no makeup, no filter, no retouch, but very good light."

Unlike several other Hollywood stars her age, Hayek, who will be turning 50 next year, is known for keeping it natural and staying aways from surgical enhancements. 

During an interview with Allure this past August, she revealed the worst beauty advice she ever got was to start getting Botox young.

"When I was young, they tried to sell me on the idea: 'If you do [Botox] now, then you won't get the wrinkles,'" she said. "And thank God I didn't do that."

So how does the Mexican-American star, who has a daughter with French businessman François-Henri Pinault, stays looking so young? Apparently, the secret is in what you take off and not what you put on.

The actress, who has her own skincare line, talked about her beauty secrets in a November interview with Glamour and revealed that she does indeed have bad habits but never sleeps with makeup on.

"No matter how bad my habits are I always take my makeup off before bed," she said.

"Even if I'm exhausted or sick I take it off. I have the bad habit of not exercising, not eating healthy food.  I have the bad habit of liking wine and cocktails. I'm sometimes lazy with the maintenance. Altogether it's a lot of work. I don't pluck my eyebrows for 90 percent of the year. But one thing I always do is take my makeup off."
