Top 10 Wii U Games of 2015: Mario Games Make the List, Unique Game is Best of the Year
Wii U games are mostly known to feature the familiar characters like Mario and Yoshi. In the top 10 Wii U games, several Mario and Nintendo-based titles made the list, but third-party games also did.
In the top 10 list of Wii U games of 2015, five Mario games are featured, according to data from Trusted Reviews.
Here is the list of the top games for 2015 on the Wii U console.
No. 10: Xenoblade Chronicles X. This is an open world RPG that has players fighting off enemies on an alien planet. Humans have been forced to leave Earth after it was destroyed, now they have to defend themselves against the aliens that destroyed their planets and make alliances with other aliens they are living with.
No. 9: Watch Dogs. A third-person game similar to the Grand Theft Auto series. In Watch Dogs, players control a very skilled hacker who can control the entire city through a central network. Enemies will chase after the player and they must use their hacking skills to avoid them.
No. 8: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Smash Bros. is a fighting game that features all of the classic Nintendo characters, plus some new additions. With Wii U graphics, this is the best Smash Bros. game yet.
No. 7: Super Mario Maker. This is perhaps the most unique title on the list. In this game, players create their own Super Mario levels. Players will place bricks, koopas and mushrooms wherever they want in hopes of creating the most challenging level they can. Before a level will be published to the game, players have to prove that the level can be beat.
No. 6: Mario vs. Donkey Kong Tipping Stars. This is a puzzle game featuring Mario and Donkey Kong. Players will be taken back to the 2D world to get characters to the end of the levels by connecting lines and solving puzzles.
No. 5: Mario Kart 8. This is one of the most popular games for the Wii U. Mario and his friends are back in their go karts and motorcycles racing around various stages while shooting shells and other items at each other. In Mario Kart 8, players get to experience anti-gravity for the first time.
No. 4: Lego Dimensions. This is a Lego game featuring characters from several different stories and movies. Players will see Batman, Homer Simpson, the Ghostbusters and many more characters working together to defeat Vortech.
No. 3: Guitar Hero Live. Guitar Hero is back with a whole new experience for video game rockers. Players will entertain the crowd and either get a warm applause or a loud roar of boos.
No. 2: Yoshi's Woolly World. Yoshi and his friends are back and they are all made of yarn, except for two Yoshis who avoided the transformation. The yarn Yoshis can swallow enemies and then throw balls of yarn at other enemies.
No. 1: Bayonetta 2. This is a violent and profane game, but the game was asked for by fans of the series and Nintendo published it. With amazing visuals, Bayonetta 2 looks great on the Wii U. Players hack and slash their way past enemies using combination and melee attacks. Multiple weapons also help players get past enemies.
