‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6 News: Carol and Morgan Might ‘Hook Up’
In the second half of Season 6 on 'The Walking Dead," there is ample reason to believe, given a specific formula, that Carol and Morgan are about to become more of an affectionate couple than at odds. But that definitely won't happen right away.
According to Variety, who spoke with executive producer and comic creator Robert Kirkman, the situation between Carol and Morgan has not just reached a boiling point, it has set the stage for what's to come in the second half of the season.
It is easy to point out that opposites attract, but that is in the real world where bad things can still happen. In the "TWD" world, where bad things always happen, there is still room for a little romance.
"The next half of Season 6, Morgan and Carol, their continuing antagonistic relationship and their posturing against each other and trying to figure each other out and not really liking each other, their conflict is a big part of the next half of the season," Kirkman told Variety.
But with them being so much at odds with each other, with such a differing philosophy, is there room for them to be more than just that? Is it possible that Carol is coming to Morgan in the same way Morgan came to Eastman? It is not altogether unreasonable to assume that Morgan might in some way be trying to rehabilitate Carol like he himself was by Eastman.
"The confrontation that starts in that basement does continue through the season and will come to a head," Kirkman said. "We'll see the relationship changing and evolving and growing in cool and interesting ways."
There are a few ways that can play out, but in the end, it might be with both of them together. Unless Morgan in some way makes Carol change her outlook on the world, opposites might just end up attracting and there could just be a romance and a mutual respect.
