Adele has been announced as one of the performers at the 2016 Brit Awards.

This will be the first time in five years that the 27-year-old "Hello" singer will be singing at the awards show, according to the Daily Mail. She previously performed her hit song "Someone Like You" in 2011.

Throughout her career, Adele has won three Brit Awards. In 2012 she is remembered for giving host James Corden the middle finger when he cut short her acceptance speech for winning Best Album for "21." In addition she won the British Female Solo Artist honor in 2012 and British Single of The Year in 2013 for her James Bond theme song "Skyfall."

"You couldn't get a bigger name in music right now. Adele is having an exceptional moment and The BRITs are delighted to be a part of her history, her present and future," Brit chairman Max Lousada said of booking Adele for the show.

Nominations for the awards show will be announced on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016. Adele is expected to receive several nods. This year's winners will be given trophies designed by artist Pam Hogg. Previous Brit statues were designed by the likes of Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin.

The 2016 Brit Awards will take place and be broadcast live from London's O2 Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

The singer released her third studio album, "25," on Nov. 20. The album, which topped the U.S. Billboard 200 and U.K. Albums charts, has produced the singles "Hello" and "When We Were Young" so far.

Adele recently announced her 2016 U.K. and Ireland tour dates. She will begin her trek at Belfast's SSE Arena on Feb. 29, 2016 and wrap up the tour leg at London's O2 Arena on April 5. Tickets for the shows in London, Belfast, Dublin, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham sold out immediately after they went on sale the morning of Friday, Dec. 4.
