Service, a startup designed to help customers deal with customer service issues, has released an iOS app.

Service helps customers when they have complaints with companies and helps fight in their behalf, Tech Crunch reports.

Customers would normally fill out a generic complaint or feedback form on a company's website when they had an issue. Now, they have Service to back them up.

The Service program started out as a web-based service and customers would enter the details of their complaints and Service staff would reach out to the company to reach a fair resolution for the customer. Now, customers can conduct the same process on a mobile device.

Customers will be able to use their phone's camera to upload pictures or documentation of their complaint to the app. The Service app will then allow alerts to be sent to the phone to keep customers updated on their complaint progress.

Service could also use the location services feature on mobile devices to help customers having problems with flights, hotels or other issues. With location services turned on, Service could help put the customer on a different flight or locate a nearby hotel.

Service's top three complaint categories come from travel, telecommunications and retail. With the holiday season, Service knows customers will be shopping and traveling and they wanted to get the app released for this reason.

Service says that 25 percent of customers are returning to use it again. Service says that instead of posting a negative review on social media or ratings sites, customers can log their complaint with Service and get it solved. Companies also avoid a poor review on public websites.

Service is forming partnerships with companies like Uber and GoDaddy. Complaints with these companies are given higher priority and more support.

The Service app is available in the Apple App Store for free. Service works to solve customer complaints for no fees.
