NBA 2K16 News: Patch Update 4 Arrives on the PS4, Addresses Bugs and Connection Issues
NBA 2K16 has received its fourth patch update. The patch addresses several bug issues and makes various improvements on game play. It is now available for the PlayStation 4 and coming soon for the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.
According to the NBA 2K Facebook page, the patch is ready for the PlayStation 4 version of the game in the U.S.
Here are some of the bugs and issues that have been resolved in the patch.
When NBA 2K16 players were using the Edit Player mode to edit or apply tattoos to their created players, there was a hang up that would occur occasionally. This hang up has been fixed and removed.
Players will no longer lose control of their player during random times in co-op games.
A disconnect issue that was occurring in some online games has been fixed.
There was an issue with headwear not being removed in the MyPark Apparel section of the store. This issue has been fixed.
Teammates will now properly celebrate and interact with free throw makes and misses.
Ball collisions will occur slightly less frequently to make the game more playable.
A bug that caused players to lose control of their player during a possession change while in the 2K Cam has been fixed.
Alley oops and putback dunks will be more successful when a player is in the open.
High-rated players were making post fade-away 3-pointers at a very high percentage. This issue has been fixed to make shooting more realistic.
There was a rare issue when MyPlayer characters were getting interviewed by Doris Burke that caused the game to freeze. The freezing has been removed and should not occur.
Players were purchasing shoes for MyCourt mode and they were not appearing on the shoe racks. This has been fixed and the shoes should now appear on the racks.
Most of the fixes were designed to prevent random freezes and delays. NBA 2K16 releases periodic patches based on player feedback.
