Taylor Swift' DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris is rumored to be working toward requesting her parent's permission to take her hand in marriage.

Us Weekly reports Harris recently spent the time around Swift's 26th birthday earning favor with her parents in anticipation of someday soon popping the big question.

The happy couple has been virtually inseparable since Swift recently ended her world tour and are reported to be committed to making up for lost time in their relationship.

In addition, Hollywood Life has reported the two have vowed to one another that someday they will walk down the aisle together. After being apart for so long, right now it seems the two will settle for just being in each other's company.

"They want to make up for lost time," said a source. "The two want to spend a week in bed together because they've really missed being a couple, and really missed their intimacy with one another."

In recently celebrating her Dec. 13 birthday, the "Bad Blood" singer is reported to have started the day by having lunch with her family at her Beverly Hills home and ended it by celebrating with her boyfriend at a bash thrown for her at the Malibu home of Jimmy Iovine.

At the Christmas-themed event, she and the "How Deep is Your Love" hit-maker looked the picture of contentment as they posed for pictures with Santa.

It's also been reported Swift now plans to take an extended break from touring and may not produce a new album for at least three years.

"Taylor is really looking forward to an extended break after her tour and the holidays," a source said. "She will still write and collaborate when the timing is right but she has been telling people not to expect a new album from her for potentially three years."
