It's official, after 27 years of dating, Iconic fashion designer Tom Ford and his partner and former Vogue editor-in-chief, Richard Buckley have officially wed.

The 52-year-old designer made the announcement on Monday at London's Regent Street Apple Store.

"We are now married, which is nice," said Ford as he showed off his wedding ring. "I know that was just made legal in the UK, which is great. We were married in the States."

Although Ford was open about his marriage, he gave few details about the actual ceremony.

News of Ford and Buckley's wedding nuptials may not come as a huge surprise, given the length of their relationship and Ford's openness about the love he shares with his longtime partner.

In a 2011 Out Magazine essay Ford wrote, "One of the things that always amuses me -- 'amuses' isn't even the right word, because it doesn't amuse me -- but often," Ford said, "I'm at dinner parties with very close friends, straight, and they realize that Richard and I have been together 24 years, and the response is often, 'Wow, you guys have been together 24 years! That's so amazing. I don't think of gay men being together that long.' And I'm, like, 'Why? What are you talking about?' Some of the longest relationships I know of are same-sex couples."

He added, "Richard and I are bound together, and I think that's what that recognition is when you look someone in the eyes and you feel like you've known them forever. It is a kind of coming home."

Ford and Buckley first met at a fashion show in 1986 and reportedly went on three dates and started living together four weeks later. In October of 2012, they welcomed their first child, Alexander "Jack" John Buckley Ford.

Since becoming a parent, Ford admitted to GQ that he's a lot more conservative now.

"I used to spend most of my time at home naked, but now we have a child it means we have a nanny and so I can't come downstairs naked and have a bowl of cereal in the morning. "Before I had a child I literally took off all my clothes the minute I walked in the door," he revealed.
