Donald Trump is boasting the Miss Universe snafu, in which host Steve Harvey temporarily declared the wrong person the winner, would never have occurred on the presidential candidate's watch.

The former pageant owner and current Republican front-runner for the 2016 presidential nomination also later tweeted more.

Harvey announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez Arevalo the winner long enough for her pose for pictures and take a victory salute before an adoring crowd. However, Harvey then corrected himself and rightfully informed the audience Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach was actually the victor.

In Trump's view, after the damage had been done declaring the wrong person the winner, both contestants should have been crowned as winners.

"I think I'd make them a co-winner," Trump said. "It would be very cool."

Both Harvey and pageant officials have repeatedly apologized, with organizers releasing a statement asserting that it was a "human error" that occurred during "the excitement of live TV."

Meanwhile, Harvey took to social media to express his remorse and apologies, admitting that it was brought on by a "terribly honest human mistake."

Unfortunately for the talk show host and media mogul, his first post misspelled both the words Philippines and Colombia.
