Saturday night's Miss Universe gained numerous bashes as the host Steve Harvey made a mistake in announcing the winners. Daily Mail reported that Harvey announced Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez as the Miss Universe 2015, but her crown was stripped away after a few minutes after Harvey owned up to his mistake and declared Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, as the winner.

It may be a heart breaking defeat for Miss Colombia to have her crown stripped after wearing it for just a few minutes, but Lindsey Carnett stated that the gaffe can potentially boost her career.

During her interview with Fox 411, Carnett, who is a public relations specialist, stated that the Miss Universe's gaffe is something that Ariadna Gutierrez should be thankful for. Carnett stated that Steve Harvey's mistake boosted her popularity within 24 hours. Carnett then added that Harvey actually boosted Gutierrez's fame and her career by making a mistake in announcing the winners.

"Ariadna Guitierrez can thank Steve Harvey for the biggest boost to her career, The visibility she's earned in the last 24 hours is invaluable, and it is up to her to leverage it quickly and wisely. At the very least, I'm sure she will get courted for cameo roles on U.S. TV and emerging brands looking to ride out the viral nature of this gaffe, looking to capture a large share of voice online," she said.

Though Harvey may have boosted Miss Colombia's fame within 24 hours, his announcement mistake however affected his future career and credibility as a host.

The CEO of 5WPR, Ronn Torossian stated that Steve Harvey's mistake will greatly affect his career which can potentially lead toward his downfall. Torossian even stated that his mistake would affect his future endeavors more than the contestants and the pageant itself.

"The brand which will suffer the most from Steve Harvey's gaffe at the Miss Universe contest is Steve Harvey, What a terrible mistake. For Miss Colombia, one can only feel sympathy and feel bad for her. One can only imagine the pain and wide range of emotions she is feeling. I think the whole world feels bad for her, and I am sure there are many brands who are rooting for her," Torossian said.

Harvey may be the talk of the town, but he owned up to his mistakes and apologized not just once but several times. He even made a sincere apology onstage during the pageant and made several apologies on Twitter.
