Coldplay's Chris Martin is being sued by a photographer who says the singer purposely tried to hit him with a car.

The 38-year-old singer is being accused of intentionally ramming into Richard Terry, a member of the paparazzi, with his Jeep in January, according to NME.

In filing the charges, Terry said Martin "intentionally turned his wheel sharply to the right, causing the jeep to jump the sidewalk and hit Terry," TMZ reports. The lawsuit also mentioned Martin has "a significant history of repeated and ongoing violent acts against entertainment news people."

The alleged incident, which was supposedly caught on camera by another photographer, took place when Martin was exiting a restaurant in Santa Monica, California.

In other news, Coldplay will be heading out on their A Head Full Of Dreams tour soon and will be taking requests from audience members.

"What we will do on this tour is almost like a request segment," Martin said. "We'd ask people to give us a reason why they want us to play that song so there is a purpose behind why we play it. I think we want to make it like a passport photo booth, so you go in and say, 'I am Derek, I would like you to play "The Hardest Part"...' So for example, if we are going to play a song like 'Spies' off 'Parachutes', it will be lovely to play it and say, 'This is for Helen from Bolton as this reminds her of her dad.' That is a bad example and not a real one."

The band will head out on the Latin America leg of the tour first on March 31 in La Plata, Argentina at the Estadio Ciudad de La Plata and wrap up the trek on April 17 in Mexico City at Foro Sol. Their European tour leg will begin on May 24 in Nice, France at Stade Charles-Ehrmann and wrap up in Copenhagen, Denmark at Telia Parken.

Coldplay released their seventh studio album, "A Head Full of Dreams," on Dec. 4.
