The San Francisco Giants team is one of the favorites to win the World Series in 2016 not just because it is an even year, but they have added starting pitchers Johnny Cueto and Jeff Samardzija to their rotation. The Giants are still not done making moves this offseason and are reportedly looking for an additional outfielder.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, San Francisco is interested in signing both free agents Dexter Fowler and Gerardo Parra. The money that the team has given to Cueto and Samardzija has taken them out of the running for bigger free agent outfielders in Yoenis Cespedes, Alex Gordon and Justin Upton.

Rosenthal noted that Parra is a natural fit for the Giants as he can play all outfield positions but, just like Gregor Blanco, he is a left-handed hitter. Fowler, on the other hand, is a center fielder and a leadoff man candidate with Angel Pagan coming off a sub-par season and earning $10 million in 2016.

The Giants could always explore the trade market and Jon Morosi of FOX Sports reported that the 2014 World Series champions are interested in making a trade for one of the available three outfielders of the Colorado Rockies. Carlos Gonzalez, Charlie Blackmon and Corey Dickerson were all made available by Rockies general manager Jeff Bridich this offseason.

According to Baseball Reference, Gonzalez started slow last season but had a great second half to finish with a .271 batting average, 40 home runs and 97 RBIs. He is also just 30 years old and hits for power and has good defense. However, his injury history is a big risk for any team willing to trade for him. Also, Colorado would want a little more than two prospects for him with the Giants farm system not as stocked as it once was.

ESPN suggested that San Francisco may sign Cespedes if he considers a short-term deal. The New York Mets have officially moved on from the slugging outfielder when they signed Alejandro de Aza on a one-year deal on Wednesday. Cespedes could sign with the Baltimore Orioles if they can't sign first baseman Chris Davis to a new deal.

MLB teams are hesitant to give away first round picks to sign the likes of Gordon and Upton, with Cespedes getting caught in the slow-moving market. He could always opt to sign a one-year deal and enter free agency next year when there is little to no expected big names.
