Mortal Kombat X News: DLC Characters to Appear in Live Action Series, Movie to Come
The downloadable characters coming to Mortal Kombat X might soon be appearing in a live action TV series as well.
The two Mortal Kombat X DLC characters that appeared in other series games, Bo Rai Cho and Tri-Borg, might appear in "Mortal Kombat Generations," according to series director Garrett Warren.
Warren was asked on Twitter what happened to the "Mortal Kombat Generations" live action show. He responded to the tweet, saying the show would be coming back in early 2016.
An early 2016 premiere for "Mortal Kombat Generations" would put it around the same time as the four new DLC characters expected to come to Mortal Kombat X.
Bo Rai Cho was featured in a casting call for a live action series at the beginning of the year. It makes sense that his character would be introduced at the same time that he is added to Mortal Kombat X. Meanwhile, the character of Tri-Borg, a combination character, might be explained in the live action series. This would give fans a better understanding of why the three characters were combined into this hybrid fighter.
The live action series is a follow up to "Mortal Kombat: Legacy," another live action series that ended in 2012. Just like the previous live action series, "Mortal Kombat: Generations" will be shown on the web.
Warren was also asked if there would be a new "Mortal Kombat" movie. According to ComicBook.com, there will indeed be a "Mortal Kombat" movie in the future.
Warren said that the movie is "in good hands" and confirmed that it would be made soon.
Several important actors have left the "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" series, so it will be interesting to see if the next live action series maintains the quality of past iterations or if it suffers from poor acting.
Mortal Kombat X added four DLC characters in 2015 and will be adding four more in early 2016.
