Bill Cosby has found yet another way to attempt to defend himself from growing allegations of sexual assault.

Radar Online reports the "Cosby Show" dad claimed in court papers that he is "legally and functionally blind" and thus literally incapable of committing the brazen attack on former supermodel Beverly Johnson as she claimed.

In all, the now 78-year-old Cosby has been accused of drugging and attacking scores of women over a period that spans nearly five decades.

But attorneys for Cosby contended he has long suffered from his condition. They insisted glaucoma has altered the shape of the comedian's corneas.

"Bill doesn't want to make an issue of his eye condition, but it's a real concern to his family and friends," a source said. "I think his pals and family are greatly alarmed at his bug-eyed appearance."

Word is Cosby made mention of his condition in the 14-page defamation suit he recently filed against Johnson in Los Angeles County Superior Court, in which he claimed she fabricated the rape allegations against him to generate publicity for an autobiography she was promoting.

The 63-year-old Johnson alleged Cosby drugged her with a cup of coffee in is Manhattan townhouse in the 1980s, and she was forced to fight off his aggressive advance.

Cosby has since branded the allegations "malicious, opportunistic, false and defamatory," and in his lawsuit, pointed out that Johnson also falsely accused her two previous boyfriends of abuse.

"Mr. Cosby has suffered from a degenerative eye condition for years which has steadily worsened recently to the point that he is [and] for over a year has been legally and functionally blind," the lawsuit added.

Cosby has never been criminally charged in connection with any of the allegations, but was recently forced to endure a seven-hour interrogation by famed civil rights attorney Gloria Allred on behalf of her client Judy Huth.

In a defamation suit, the former Playboy Bunny claimed attorneys for Cosby defamed her when she recently went public with her allegations.
