The Samsung Galaxy S7 could be released Feb. 20 in two sizes.

According to CNet, the device would come in a base model with a 5.2-inch screen and an Edge model with a 5.7-inch screen.

This would be the first time that Samsung has introduced an Edge model with a different screen size than the regular model. The Galaxy S6 Edge had the same 5.1-inch screen as the Galaxy S6.

If there are two versions, the Samsung Galaxy S7 would likely have straight sides, while the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge would feature curved sides that wrap around the edges of the screen.

The Samsung-focused blog website SamMobile reports that the Samsung Unpacked event will take place on Feb. 20, right before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in Barcelona. The event, which will take place during the pre-show conferences before MWC, would offer a good platform for the launch, and the company is expected to show off the two Galaxy S7 models there.

Samsung is reportedly readying five million Galaxy S7 units for launch. Of those, 3.3 million would be the Galaxy S7 and 1.7 million would be the Galaxy S7 Edge.

Samsung has usually waited until MWC to release new Galaxy smartphones, but some rumors are still pointing to even earlier release dates, like at next week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Still, MWC seems like a much more logical release time for Samsung.

Recent rumors have said that the Galaxy S7 could feature an iris scanner that would allow users to unlock the phone with their eyes. The device could also include a USB Type-C port for charging, and a pressure-sensitive screen similar to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

The Galaxy S7 will be powered by the brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip. It will also come pre-loaded with Android Marshmallow. 

It is expected to receive a brand new camera sensor that will greatly improve the quality of photos, especially in low light situations, as well as a microSD slot, allowing users to add more internal storage space with microSD cards.

With a price tag around $650 to $700 to start, the Galaxy S7 will be Samsung's flagship phone in 2016.
