James Harden has tired of the Khloé Kardashian roller coaster, reportedly dumping the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" reality TV star just before Christmas.

Hollywood Life reports the Houston Rockets star could no longer stomach the craziness that comes with dating Lamar Odom's ex-wife and pulled the plug on their up-and-down relationship right in the middle of the holiday season.

"It was too much for him," a source said. "The media scrutiny, her family's meddling and her mood swings drove him over the edge. He told her they can still hook up, but anything serious is off the table."

Kardashian and Harden had been dating for months. Yet, just when it appeared things might be becoming more serious between them, Odom suffered an overdose, prompting Kardashian to call off her divorce and camp out at the former NBA star's hospital bedside.

The 31-year-old Kardashian is reported to have been "hit hard" by the unexpected development, but Harden seems to have felt he had little choice.

"James has enough on his place right now and Khloe on top of it is too much for him," a source added. "His team is playing poorly, and to add insult to injury, Khloe's out kicking with [ex], French Montana."

In addition, Kardashian recently told TMZ she has no intentions of completely severing ties with Odom anytime soon. Kardashian reportedly visited her ex at Cedars Sinai hospital over the holidays, including on Christmas Day.

All indications are she is not looking to resurrect the relationship the two once shared and simply wants to help him get through a difficult period.

Odom was hospitalized after he was found bleeding from the nose and mouth, lying unresponsive in the room he had rented at a Las Vegas brothel. After being rushed to a hospital emergency room, he was later transferred to Cedars Sinai.
