'The Blacklist' Season 3 Episode 9 Spoiler: Liz Is Not Ashamed of Killing Attorney General [Watch]
In the upcoming episode of “The Blacklist,” Liz (Megan Boone) is finally in the hands of the FBI.
However, Red (James Spader) does not think this is a safe place for her to be.
A teaser for Episode 9 of Season 3, “The Director,” shows a very concerned Red not bothering to mince words about the danger Liz is in.
“The Cabal will come for her,” Red says, warning Liz’s protectors at the bureau of the threat. “If they reach her, it will be the last time you ever see Elizabeth again.”
Liz seems resigned to her fate. On hearing she would get a fair hearing, she says she will never make it to the trial alive.
A sneak peek of the two-part episode shows Liz defiant, even after she is in custody for shooting the Attorney General of the United States.
“Just so you know, I’m not ashamed of what I did,” she says.
When “The Blacklist” returns to complete the rest of its third season, a familiar blacklister will return as well.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Gina Zanetakos (Margarita Levieva) will be back to cause more trouble for Liz and Red.
Fans of the dark NBC series will recall how the character was introduced in Season 1, after Liz found a secret box hidden under the floorboards of her home that contained multiple passports and identities of her then husband Tom (Ryan Eggold). That moment of covert discovery initiated the series of unraveling events that led to Liz finding out her spouse was really a spy and that her whole life was a lie.
Red explained to Liz that Zanetakos was more than just an assassin who engaged in corporate espionage and acts of terrorism. She was also Tom’s secret love.
“The Blacklist” returns to NBC on Jan. 7, 2016 at 9 p.m. ET.
